THIS IS DANGEROUS! DON'T READ IT(series two)!!

The most dangerous thing in life is remaining the same person. A lot of us are afraid of change because we feel it will make us less of the hero we think we are. I am talking of no other change than relinquishing our bad habits, one-sided and self centered view of situations, abusive relationships, confronting our fears, etc. Note this; you are where you are today because of the sum total of the person you are(your mentality, your habits, your activities, your actions towards your dreams, etc). If you must get to where you desire, you must relinquish the person you are and put on the person you ought to be. If you keep remaining the same person, be ready to be at the same level–a new wine cannot be poured into an old wine skin.

As mentioned in the series one of this post, "the greatest tragedy is not death, but allowing the seeds in us to dies while we live". We all have tremendous power, resources and strength in us, anyone who don't realize this, certainly doesn't know where he belongs (the world belongs to those who know where they belong) and for sure, robs the world of the substance, gifts and potentials in them. If the wright brothers did not discover theirs, maybe there wouldn't have been an airplane at the time it came into the world. The same goes to Thomas Edison and the incandescent electrical bulb. So you see, anyone who fails to discover himself will help to either delay development in the area of his calling or underdevelop the world in that regard.

There are a lot of people toiling and working hard where they are not meant to be. This is even perpetuated by the voices of people and the circumstances around them. Listening to the voice of your potentials and gifts is tough, especially because of lack of security–financial. But if we look beyond the situation we find ourselves and the voices of the people around us, to the voice of our potentials and gifts, certainly, the "law of focus(any thing you focus on grows)" will activate itself and pull resources and wealth to us in due season. The surest way of remaining or sticking to who you are is by understanding your source.

The bible makes it clear that we are all created in the image and likeness of GOD–Genesis 1:26. This means that our source is GOD. Thus, anyone who has not given GOD a place in his life is yet to have self realization and of course, does not know his potentials. To get authentic self realization goes beyond analyzing your strength and weaknesses, to surrendering your life to your source. Without hearing from your source, it will be impossible for you to truly know where you belong, let alone, look beyond the voices of people and situations. Palms 127:1,2 asserts: NIV: Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain...

Giving your life to Jesus Christ is no bondage, as some people see it. In fact, it is the plan of the devil to keep great men and women under his siege of impoverishment. He will not fight any thing that will not become great! Because he knows that everyone is born great, he will always try to blind the world from the potentials in them. Do not let him, surrender now to Jesus Christ and see what you have been missing–John 1:12.

So, to get authentic self realization, you need to go back to your source–GOD. This is the only way you can escape being part of the greatest tragedy, which is not death, but allowing the seed in you to die while you live.

Shalom!

OBSTACLES

                                          When it looks like,
They don't want to leave the way,
                                          And they all look alike,
                                          Came in the same way,

You want to get to the heights,
But they don't seem visible to the eyes,
                                          Push them aside,
And stir up what is inside,

                                         That power and might,
                                         To make it so right,
                                         How can I lift them?
Slow and steady, it gets clearer.

THIS IS DANGEROUS! DON'T READ IT(series one)!!

No one is born empty or small! According to Nelson Mandela, "it is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separates one person from another". I know the question in your mind now is: " what do I have?". But read this: "Let us make man in our image". Did you see that?  That is the greatest revelation about the nature of man and its power a lot of people are yet to discover. It means that we all have the image of GOD in us. Therefore, if GOD is intelligent, we are intelligent. If GOD is not poor, we can never be poor. Why? We were never created dull or poor! Everything GOD created is good and perfect–James 1:17.
If this is true, why then is there so much disparity on earth? Why is 'A' more successful than 'B'? Ans: It is because nature is neutral. It does not favor one and disfavor the other. It is what we make out of what we have, not what we are given, that separate us. We all have the image of GOD–the nature of greatness and all round success, but a lot of people don't know this. Thus, those who don't know this live small and unfortunately, most of them die small. Those who realize it and activate it, become focus, impeccable, work hard to develop themselves and rise to stardom. Hence, they answer to the question of the great disparity on earth, asked above, is lack of self realization.
To a logical and a curious mind, the next question will be; why is self realization so difficult? Answer: where you are determines what grows within you(Environment)–Mike Murdock. In the words of Mylse Munroe, " the destiny of a seed is the tree". This means that, every seed carries a tree in it. However, without a good soil, the tree in the seed will not sprout. Thus, any seed that could not make it to a tree failed and died without giving the tree in it to the world. Why? Environment. Remember: where you are determines what grows withing you.
Our families, friends, educational and religious institutions, the kind of books we read, culture, beliefs, norms, etc.–our environment, have a lot to do with the way we see ourselves and what we know about ourselves. From childhood, we are programmed by our families, through morals and beliefs, to uphold certain values and jettison some. These values get diffused or strengthened by that of our friends, educational and religious institution. The books we come across also contribute to our world view. Our culture make us see certain feats as attainable and some as impossible. We also get stuck by our beliefs or soar high by them. All these factors determine what grows within us. They determine whether we will die like the seed with the tree in it or give out the tree in us before we die.
The greatest tragedy is not death, but allowing the seeds in us to die while we live–  Norman Cousins.....
To be continued... Watch out for the next series.
